A Covering

“Then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night.  For over all the glory there will be a covering.  And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for place of refuge, and for shelter from storm and rain.” Isaiah 4:5-6

The Lord Himself was and still is a Covering for His people.  He covers us continually by providing shade from the “heat” life brings us.  He covers us constantly so that we have a place of refuge when the “storms” of life assault us.  He covers us perpetually as shelter from “harsh” conditions that make us weary.  He covers us…both physically and spiritually!

This roof being placed on Brexton’s House is physical evidence of safety, refuge and shelter for these Zambian boys.  But I am praying and believing that it will represent so much more!  Would you pray with me that His Holy Spirit would rest so heavy and cover this house in such a profound way that these boys can tangibly feel it?  I am praying that the Spirit of the Lord resting on and in Brexton’s House will bring freedom to these boys because “the Lord is the Spirit ; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty!”  2 Corinthians 3:17

Yes Lord…we pray and declare together that “instead of their shame, they will have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.  Therefore in their (Zambian) land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs.” Isaiah 61:7

Thank you Abba for being a Covering for us in every season!  May you cover this house and these boys “under the shadow of Your wings” from the moment they walk through that front door!
